About

Anyone that knows me, knows that I love to cook.  I also happen to be a Master’s student in Peace & Conflict Studies in Spain.  How could I possibly bring my two loves together?  Over a good meal of course!  The idea first struck me in Morocco where I learned to cook Moroccan potato patties with my couchsurfing host’s aunt.  Mind you, she only spoke Arabic and I only speak English, but in the kitchen a space is created that transcends verbal language.  Smiles and laughs were shared over some good food in the end.  Now, as I close my time in Spain, I realize that I currently have access to one of the most diverse kitchens in the world, the Peace Master’s students.  Representing over 40 countries, I can only hope that I can share a bit of peace over a piece of food with as many as I can, while at the same time learning some great recipes!
